This hidden veggie Smoothie contains carrots, cucumber and celery – but you won’t be able to tell one bit! Masked by creamy avocado and spiced up with both ginger and turmeric, this smoothie also doubles as an anti-inflammatory drink that helps to combat various symptoms as well as fight off serious inflammation-related diseases.

Hidden Veggie Smoothie

Serves 1

Ingredients:

  • 1 carrot, shredded
  • ½ avocado
  • small slice fresh ginger
  • ¼ cucumber, chopped small
  • 1 stalk celery, chopped small
  • ¼ teaspoon Turmeric
  • 1 cup Almond milk
  • 5-6 ice cubes

Directions:

  1. Place all ingredients into a high-speed blender.
  2. Blend on high until smooth.

Notes:

Avocado provides the creamy base (as well as healthy fats) in this Smoothie, however a banana can be used instead for extra sweetness. Bump up the protein content and overall calories in this smoothie by adding unflavored protein powder or plain Greek yogurt.
